A trackerless torrent dictionary does not have an "announce" key. Instead, a trackerless torrent has a "nodes" key. This key should be set to the K closest nodes in the torrent generating client's routing table.

Mar 29, 2008 DHT nodes at 0 for 4.0/4.0.1 w/ SOCKS5 Proxy Server DHT nodes are always 0 with SOCKS5 on 4.0+; with SOCKS5 proxy enabled and enabled "user proxy for peer connections and disable connections not supported by proxies".
